About selldata.uk
selldata.uk is a website for directors and owners of UK companies with 30 or more staff. We explain how a company can license its operational records, and what happens to those records when a company is struck off or liquidated. The site covers England and Wales.
What you will find here
Our guides follow the way most readers arrive. Many people come to close a company, so we explain how to close a limited company, including striking off a company, liquidation and the HR1 form. Each of those guides reaches the same question: what should happen to the company’s records before they change hands? Our guide to company records and data licensing answers it. Decide before the closure step.
Who publishes this site
selldata.uk is published by Ingenious Digital LLC. It is the controller of the personal data we handle, and our privacy page explains what that covers.
How the site is funded
We refer companies whose records may qualify to an AI data buyer through a referral link. The buyer pays us a referral fee only after a company we refer has its data transferred and approved.
We refer companies with 30 or more full-time employees in the markets our eligibility check covers. We are not the buyer, we do not work for it and we do not speak for it. The buyer decides who qualifies. A result on our eligibility check is not an offer, a price or a promise of approval.
The fee gives us a financial interest in referrals the buyer approves. Our disclosure explains the arrangement and how we mark our links. If we add another referral arrangement, we will say so there and on this page before we link to it.
How we check information
Legal and regulatory statements come from UK official sources: GOV.UK, legislation.gov.uk, Companies House, the Insolvency Service and the ICO, now the Information Commission. Each page lists its sources and carries an update date. Fees, deadlines and thresholds are marked “as of November 2026”, because they change.
We do not invent customer stories, approval rates or payout examples, and we do not publish a buyer’s payout figures. Where an example helps, it is labelled as an example.
What we do not do
We do not give legal, tax or financial advice. A guide cannot replace a solicitor, an accountant or an insolvency practitioner who knows your company, and each page says where you should ask for one. Our privacy page explains what the eligibility check keeps.
