How we make money
selldata.uk helps UK company directors understand record licensing and company closure. We refer companies whose records may qualify to an AI data buyer through a referral link. The buyer pays us a referral fee only after a company we refer has its data transferred and approved.
We have a financial interest in the referrals the buyer approves. UK advertising rules treat referral links as advertising. The Apply button on a qualifying result of our eligibility check is the only link on this site that leads to the buyer, so it is marked “Ad”, with this disclosure beside it. We also tag that link as sponsored in the page code. The other buttons on our guides lead to the eligibility check, which is part of this site, so they carry no label.
What the fee depends on
A visit, a result on our check or an application does not earn us anything. We are paid only for an approved referral and a completed data transfer. We do not earn the fee because someone registers, signs a form or clicks a button.
The buyer decides which companies qualify, what it offers and when it pays. Only the buyer can quote terms for your company. We are not the buyer, we do not work for it and we do not speak for it. We do not guarantee acceptance, a price or a payment date.
What the fee does not decide
The fee does not decide what the guides say. Our guides on closing a company come from UK official sources, and they say what to do whether or not you license your records. Using this site costs you nothing.
How a click works
When you click an Apply button, the click goes through our own address and on to the buyer’s site. We record it as our privacy page explains. We do not apply for you, and we do not send the buyer your answers or your email address.
